Mark 3:20 Then Jesus entered a house, and again a crowd gathered, so that he and his disciples were not even able to eat. 21 When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.”
22 And the teachers of the law who came down from Jerusalem said, “He is possessed by Beelzebul! By the prince of demons he is driving out demons.
Popular opinion said that Jesus was wonderful.  People were amazed at His words and astonished by the wonders He worked.  But those who should have known best seemed to miss the memo.  His family thought He was nuts – being bothered by all these people all the time, not taking proper care of himself. That is still the message today: take care of yourself first.  The other group that should have known best were the religious leaders. When they heard what He taught and saw what He did, they accused Him of being worse than crazy: they called Him evil.  It was not that He was saying or doing evil things; it was that He was doing and saying things they could not, making them look bad. There is something else that has not changed: if someone looks better than me, I had better make them look bad, so I look better.  In the next two events, Jesus deals with both of the above groups, putting them in their place, showing how crazy their false accusations were.  He is by no means crazy or  evil: He is all-wise and perfect.
